  美国华裔音乐童话   We maakten al eerder kennis met  The Roving Cowboy   van  Wu Fei  en  Abigail Washburn  – in een duet ‘dat reikt van de Appalachian country tot de prairies van Xinjiang’. Nu ik via Muziekweb over hun nieuwste album beschik, is het tijd om iets meer over hen te vertellen. Bijvoorbeeld dat ze er zó uitzien (zie de video hieronder).  PING TAN DANGE  评弹舞  Wu Fei schreef het liedje Ping Tan Dance  toen ze in Beijing quyi   (verhalende volksliedjes) studeerde, waartoe ook het locale genre pingtan behoort – wat ze hier omsmeedt tot een satire op een vrouwelijke collega die voor haar carrière feestjes afloopt. Abigail Washburn zegt er dit over: “We feel like angry old grandmas when we think about the injustice for women musicians.
